Immune Booster Smoothie

In those times when everyone around you seems to be getting sick, when it is cold outside and it's still a long way from summer, the best thing you can do is load up on fruits and veggies to nourish your immune system. 

I discovered this particular smoothie recipe on Sprouts & Chocolate and it is perfect for the job! The orange adds vitamin C, while turmeric, ginger and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory and immune boosting qualities!

  • 1 mango
  • 1 orange
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 inch knob peeled ginger
  • 1 inch knob peeled fresh turmeric (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  1. Peel & chop ginger and turmeric and peel the other fruit.
  2. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
